The Battle

I'm on the verge of something

And on the edge of nothing;

An epiphany

And an impasse.

I can't move forward

Without sliding back

And I have found myself lost.

I see clearly in the dead light

But am blinded by life.

I am two beings trapped

In one soul,

Fighting in opposition,

And I no longer have the strength to stand.

The ceaseless pain

Overwhelms me

And my longing for peace

Goes unheeded.

I am all together divided.

Pollenation

i am sorrow in its darkest realm.

in my presence, everything of beauty dies and angels wilt like lilies.

my soul is dead and my heart is an abyss;

where hope and serenity never existed.

cold, black flames engulf me reducing me to ashes,

and scatters me into the hard, cruel wind, spreading  the seeds of hatred.

Blacklight

I am crying out in silence,

Voicing my pain without words,

Screaming with my mouth closed,

I am in death as I live.

I am sane in madness,

Smiling through tears,

Laughing as my heart breaks,

I am in darkness with the light.

Mortal Vampire Seeks Immortal Love--a poem

You are absolutely beautiful.
Heaven's angels only sparkle
As you outshine them.
My drowned spirit is buoyed
Merely gazing at you.
If I could I would kiss you
And draw your light inside.
And as it blazed within me
It would revive my dead soul.
It would burn away
The cold, empty darkness
And I could truly feel again.
Your splendor eradicates
My doldrum gray and
Paints a new picture, vivid and colorful.
If I could I would ask you
To stay, and quicken me,
And I could be yours eternally.
But it can never be...
I have to be content with
This quiet, desperate longing.
